My goal is to try to share about the good news.

In a world that is tumbling down, where terror is shaking the nations, where war and human behavior can’t be controlled; there’s still a way for peace and wisdom. The maker of this life knows a better way. I am dedicated sharing this message so that everyone at least hears about God and his love to all men, through his son Jesus Christ.

I was born on February 10th, 1978, grew up in a big family with eight brothers and sisters. My family name doesn’t do my origin justice. I have a very creative father who decided to give me a name derived from Scandinavian components. Outside of my family I doubt there’s anyone else called Bitreyson on this planet.
I learned about joyful songs and choruses around the age of six.
I have always loved music and sang frequently in Church. My father owned acoustic and Spanish guitars on which I tried to learn to play, yielding no success. I started to play chords for the first time while running away from my own country when I was 16 years old. At this a time my life and that of my whole family took a lot twists and turns! Literally turned upside down for more than a decade. Learning to play guitar, singing and listening to music was a coping mechanism for me, to be able to face the challenges of life as a refugee.

 

While surviving guns, machetes, hate, hunger, homelessness, illness, fear, desperation, loneliness and much more, I gained a deeper knowledge of God and the work of his Son, Jesus. I dedicated my life to Him when I was ten years old. In 2003, Jesus’s call to be a disciple became very personal to me.

“…not depart from Jerusalem but wait for the promise of the Father…
…But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you:
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and Judea and in Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 2: 4-8.

It was around this time that I started writing songs, till the present.

Writing songs about God and his Son Jesus Christ and His relationship with men, minimizes the chance of me being vague about the most life changing news known to mankind. It’s about the Love of God shown through Jesus! That is the true passion of my existence and that of my own family. My loving wife Mirjam and our three great and beautiful children; Ian, Jakim and Anah.

I have no idea what tomorrow brings, but I know today is about a song, a new one to the Lord. The single production The WAY, The TRUTH, The LIFE is my very first significant work of music. The song The WAY, the TRUTH the LIFE, tells about the unshakable identity that can exist through a devoted life to God. Jesus accepted weakness and vulnerability even though he was there when the earth was made. This was all motivated by pure love, to reunite us with the maker of life.

Everyone who chooses to believe also begins to have the awareness of his own shortcomings, wrongs and discord that exists when it comes down to being good and righteous. Therein lays the inspiration to the song the Son of Man’s Will.
